1. MBBS: The full form of MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. It is composed of 2 words, M.B. - 'Medicinae Baccalaureus' Bachelor of Medicine (in Latin) and B.S - 'Bachelor of Surgery' (in English), are the two first-professional degrees in medicine and surgery awarded upon graduation from medical school by universities in countries that follow the tradition of the United Kingdom[UK]. The duration of MBBS is 5 ½ years (4.5 academic course duration + 1-year internship).
It is an undergraduate academic degree course having a syllabus including both medicine and surgery subjects. Though the name suggests 2 separate degrees, however, it is only 1 degree.

2. MD: MD full form, Doctor of Medicine is a higher postgraduate medicine course dealing with advanced study in Medicine. The course is based on gaining an in-depth knowledge of one's chosen field of specialization. The MD course duration in India is 3 years of study, including the successful completion of an exam that covers both theoretical and practical elements. The curriculum is divided into 6 academic terms. M.D. course is more practical oriented and research-based as compared to M.B.B.S.

3. Master of Surgery [MS]: MS or Master of Surgery is a postgraduate surgery course. Surgery is a branch of medical science that treats disease or injury by operative procedures. General Surgery is a subfield of Surgery that deals with the surgical treatment of abdominal organs, e.g. intestines inclusive esophagus, stomach, colon, liver and furthermore of the thyroid gland and hernia. 4. PG Diploma: Through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NBE. Passed MBBS from a recognized Medical College.

5. Ph.D.: Through All India Entrance Test and personal interviews Conducted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth. Pre Ph.D. course of 6 months duration.Post Graduate with a minimum of 55% for general category and 50% for reserved category.
